The Georgetown County Polar Plunge is an annual event full of fun that helps to raise funds for the Special Olympics of South Carolina.
Held at The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn in Pawleys Island, to participate in the Georgetown County Polar Plunge event, you just need to raise a minimum of $50.
By “Freezin’ for a Reason” you’re creating more opportunities for determined athletes to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in the Special Olympics.

To participate in the Georgetown County Polar Plunge event, you just need to raise a minimum of $50. This level earns you a FREE Polar Plunge t-shirt!
Ask your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers if they’d like to contribute to your fundraising goal or donate to support your team.
Have fun at the “Plunge and Go!” event, or get creative with your own “Virtual Plunge”! Then, post a photo or video on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok – use the hashtag #polarplungesc.

9:00 AM – 11:00 PM – “Plunge & Go” – Plungers will report to an outdoor registration table, plunge, and go!
